Sunday’s 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards honored the best in film and American television of 2016 at The Beverly Hilton. Due to the weather being so crappy in NorCal, I lucked out and was able to watch most of the evening’s events prior to my flight back to PHL.
Jimmy Fallon hosted (how great were the Stranger Things kids rapping during the opening?!), Meryl Streep made a speech, Ryan Reynolds and Andrew Garfield made out, legit EVERYONE had a beard, and La La Land cleaned up. Did I miss anything?
As far as the red carpet goes, I honestly felt like this was the best Globes fashion we’ve seen in a while (perhaps because SJP was back?). From the silver and gold metallic dresses to the colorful gown choices to the jewels and chokers – the night was as shiny and bright as Justin Timberlake’s grin. He and wife, Jessica Biel are literally #CoupleGoals.
Claire Foy, the Best Actress in the Best Television Series – Drama, “The Crown” is definitely one to watch.
