Someone of the opposite sex once asked me – “Is that a men’s watch on your wrist?” – (It was a women’s Michael Kors in rose gold). Clearly turned-off by his distaste in fashion, I dropped him like a bad habit.
Last week, I took part in a Twitter chat for AskMen. When asked “what’s the one piece of clothing that always impresses a woman on a date?” shoes would be the predictable answer, but since I believe they should be a given, I replied with the watch.
A watch to a girl is like a set of implants (kidding) to a guy – it’s a great investment.
Any watch you ask? Something that syncs up with your lifestyle is all you need. Your iPhone can tell you what time it is, but a stylish man always wears a watch. Family heirlooms are totally acceptable. Fossil is not.
