Get in loser, we’re going shopping! – – For all things Radiant Orchid.
Pantone recently announced Radiant Orchid as the Color of the Year – aka emerald has officially gone retro. Tons of designers teased the lavender hue during their Spring ’14 shows, and it was clearly a crowd favorite.
Radiant orchid – a fusion of bright fuchsia and purple with soft pink undertones – encourages expanded creativity and originality. It’s also insanely wearable.
While I have yet to paint my office radiant orchid a la Jason Kennedy, I have been brainstorming a few ways to incorporate the color into my wardrobe without going from 0-60.
Here are my 3 favorites!
- A Mani/Pedi – Sephora’s pinterest board is filled with oodles of beauty products that come in radiant orchid. My favorite? NARS polish in No Limits.
- Accessories – Go wild with bracelets, rings and pumps – this Henri Bendel bangle would make a great gift for the holidays.. hint, hint!
- Make-up – Purple is a great color to really make your eyes pop – especially if they’re hazel like mine. Try Make Up For Ever’s eyeshadow in Lavender.
