This year has been full of laughs, love and lots of barefoot walks in the sand, and as we wrap it up into a tiny little bow, I wanted to take a peek back at some of my favorite trends of 2014 – sans the Birkenstocks..
Elsa’s braid from Frozen – I still have yet to see this movie. Call it spite, but if I hear “Adele Dazeem” capitalize on the ‘Let it Go’ song one more time I might lose it. Regardless, the braid was undoubtably a hit. Amber Fillerup has the best braid tutorials, so be sure to check out her YouTube channel for tips.
Taylor Swift – Okay, so I know I LOVE to hate on her horrendous dancing during award shows, but this year I drank (maybe overdosed) on one too many sips of the T-Swift Kool-Aid. From quoting her songs on my twitter feed to an overwhelming feeling of FOMO when she posts an instagram with one of her A-List besties, I’m officially a full-fledged #Swifty……..
Avocado Toast – Basically the new kale. My instagram feed was blown up with brunch snaps every Sunday of this delicious snack. Le Pain Quotidien and Jack’s Wife Freda have the best – try it!
I Love the 90’s – Currently wearing NARS Audacious lipstick and a Nasty Gal crop as I write this blog post – yup, that’s right! – 2014 was all about 90’s grunge and I fully embraced it.
