Moschino put on a puppet show for it’s Spring 2021 ready-to-wear collection.
When asked if he created the haute couture designs with a specific statement (of our current turbulent times) in mind, Jeremy Scott laughed it off – – “The best thing I could do for everyone who is stressed about the election, the pandemic, social unrest, and the future was to give the gift of fantasy and take us away from all of it for a few minutes; let us enjoy this little fashion world of ours.”
With the impacts of lockdown dressing (ie sweatpants and over-sized sweatshirts) people are thirsty with desire to have ANY excuse to get fancy, and as someone who was super bummed to have missed out on attending fashion week in person this season, I truly appreciated this mini whimsical escape Jeremy created for us to enjoy.
Who knew puppets replacing models could look so chic!
