If you have yet to stream HBO Max’s Minx, you are seriously missing out.  The ’70s-based show set in Los Angeles centers around feminist journalist Joyce, who is forced to compromise her vision and values and partner up with porn publisher Doug, in order to watch her magazine come to life.

If you ask me, the ’70s is hands down the most fun decade in American history and luckily (for me) the fashion from it is back – again!

Reminder: Fashion is cyclical, which is why it’s so thrilling to thrift!

Minx costume designer Beth Morgan is a pro when it comes to sourcing authentic pieces for period comedies, which makes watching Minx even more enjoyable.  The plot is obviously there, but when the character’s wardrobes really come to life – that’s what makes the story feel so inspiring.  I also love to pull inspo from the shows I am currently binging (cough, cough: Buffy!) and Minx has tons.

There are enough pussybow blouses and sleazy button-downs in these character’s closets to last a lifetime.
