The Teen Choice Awards mark the end of summer, a week closer to the VMAs in Brooklyn and the inevitable draining of one’s bank account due to MBFW anxiety.
Not to be confused with a crazed tween (even though I joined in the collective squeal when Nick Jonas randomly played the drums for Demi Lovato’s ‘Made in the USA’ performance), I strictly keep up with these award shows for the fashion (and in hopes of an Amanda Bynes appearance).
The TCAs are meant to be fun, relaxed and casual in style, but I seriously struggled trying to find a best dressed pick last evening. Worst dressed was for sure Naya Rivera. She looked like a trash monster. Girl, your bod is rockin, but save that outfit for the streets of Lima, OH.
Overall, the show was as good as it could be considering hosts Lucy Hale & Darren Criss ended the evening twerking in animal costumes.
The blue carpet was a sea of leather, lace, bright lips, and prints. A few hits, but mostly misses. Judge below.
