Pam & Tommy dropped on Hulu today.
Spoiler Alert: The soundtrack is ELITE.
I remember hearing Pam in an interview once discussing how she keeps herself from snacking at night by brushing her teeth as soon as she’s done eating dinner – and to this day, I do it too. It’s a freaking genius move.
So what other wellness tips can we learn from the OG who walked so Kim, Kourtney, and Megan could run?.. For starters, she follows a strict vegetarian diet of lots of fruits and veggies, drinks a ton of water, and chews sugar-free gum when cooking as to not pick at the ingredients.
Lily James, who plays Pamela in the Hulu series, had to follow a strict fitness regime that included lots of boxing to get in shape for the role.

]]>Dubbed the SoulCycle of dance, KINRGY is a program created by Julianne Hough – a spiritual fitness journey if you will, which my endo sis describes as a whole self experience. KINRGY is about moving your body, breathing and activating your imagination. It is meant to build mental and spiritual strength as much as the physical.
Having used dance as my form of therapy (even before I realized it actually WAS a form of therapy), I had been wanting to sign-up for an online class for awhile, and while I don’t suggest KINRGY for everyone – it’s definitely Goop-tastic (see: Gwyneth Paltrow) – you’re guaranteed a sweat which is nice to know going into a new workout. There are only so many yoga and barre classes one can take, no?
Unlike a typical dance class, KINRGY is not about perfection, but rather expression, and there was something cathartic about surrendering your mind to your body during the class. I’m not going to lie, KINRGY is definitely a bit cult-like (NXIVM’s Keith Raniere would eat this shit UP), but so is SoulCycle… plus, I ended the class completely drenched, energized and ready to tackle my to-do list.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Lots of breath work, child-like movement, and an overall healing experience for the mind and body.
I’m no stranger to bloating (hello, endo belly!), but I recently stumbled across an article linking gas, bloating, and abdominal pain to hard-to-digest sugars in over-the-counter meds.
Crazy, right?!
Also, before you read any further, quick reminder: I am definitely not a doctor.
As we enter cold and flu season and the clean medicine movement – a more natural approach to prevention and healing – gains traction, I wanted to share a few home remedies that I typically use before popping an OTC pill which (allegedly) can further depress the immune system – or begging my doctor for a Z-Pak..
Seriously, anything to keep a sinus infection and bloating at bay.
HYDRATION
How you treat your body in the first 24 hours of a viral infection is key. As soon as symptoms surface, up your hydration to kick that bad boy out of your bod. Big fan of peppermint tea, too.
This sounds silly, but a puff in each nostril in the morning and then again at night is part of my daily routine to clear congestion. If you want to get a bit more aggressive, the neti-pot can also work wonders.
ESSENTIAL OILS
I was SO sick this past July and desperate to try anything, a friend suggested using steam and anti-inflammatory essential oils to loosen up blockages. Highly recommend eucalyptus and oregano to sooth your nasal cavities.
PREVENTION
D-d-d-defense is the ultimate prevention, which, duh. To take extra precautions before being exposed to a bug, wash your hands, clean your devices, and live an overall healthy lifestyle – – i.e. sleep, exercise, clean eating, you know the drill.
Cheers to a happy, healthy winter!
