I’ve recently been drawing hair inspo (see: my latest Instagram) from my favorite Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen movies. And to be honest, none of us should be remotely surprised that we are still pulling trends from the (forever) middle-schoolers’ wardrobe. The Olsen twins delivered us classics like Billboard Dad, Our Lips Are Sealed, and Passport to Paris – all while wearing the perfect hair accessory.
Hair baubles have been in the circuit a little over a year or so, but since Paris fashion week, we’ve really seen the trend spike. Scrunchies have gone from the gym to the runway – and it’s almost become a competition to see how many pearl-encrusted bobby pins one can layer onto the side of their head.
