how snood.

Transitioning your summer wardrobe into fall can be tricky. I dread the days getting shorter and my leg hair growing faster due to the drop in temp. A fun way to ease into the season is to mix and match your favorite summer pieces with fall’s biggest trends.

The maxi. Rachel Zoe’s go-to dress and the must-have frock this past summer. If you’re like me and went way beyond your price point, why not get the most of the purchase and style the ish out of it with a trendy piece for fall? Take the snood for example – not to be confused with a lunch lady’s hairnet – the snood is a wide ring of knitted material worn as a hood or scarf. Biggest fan? Chuck Bass. Most annoying fan? Kanye.

My Betsey Johnson faux fur snood has been to hell and back (stranded in Boston, sweeping the streets of West Philly, the list goes on), yet it still remains in tact and one of my go-to pieces when amping up a look or just to stay warm and chic on the streets. Pairing the snood with a maxi, maybe even a denim jacket or blazer, is a great look for a crisp fall day.
