Okay so per usual, I’m late to the party and JUST binged Season 1 of Killing Eve. Meaning, I legit stayed up well past my bedtime, deep into the night because I couldn’t stop watching. The Cut put it best by stating that anyone who’s a fan of psychopathic female assassins, but also enjoys a good Prada or Burberry runway will love this show.
Jodie Comer who plays Villanelle – a Russian hit-woman with a “killer” sense of style – plays by her own rules and never wears the same thing twice. I think what I relate to most is that she doesn’t conform or please; her clothing reflects her independence and she uses color to provoke reactions.
Much like Villanelle, I love to play with items that aren’t necessarily meant to go together. Wearing things your own way is what fashion should be all about. Since none of us rake in an assassin’s salary (or do we?..) I’ve pulled a few of my favorite looks and hunted down similar pieces – with a friendlier price tag.
