People’s Choice Awards 2017: All That Glitters is Gold

People's Choice Awards 2017: All That Glitters is Gold

The only good thing that came from suffering through last night’s People’s Choice Awards was getting a glimpse of Sarah Jessica Parker’s gold J. Mendel dress. I didn’t notice until she got on stage to accept her award, but the sleeves were actually detachable and not necessarily part of the metallic gown. SJP always ahead of the curve.

Joel McHale hosted. Blake Lively beat Meryl Streep and told everyone “paws off” her husband. Can you blame her? Ellen became the Michael Phelps of the PCAs – the people have now awarded her 20 trophies. Fifth Harmony performed for the first time as a quartet. Johnny Depp was there. So was The Rock – and Bob Saget. Two things you can always count on in life; traffic on the 101 and Bob Saget being a creep.

What I despise most about these “choice” awards shows is how you can literally predict the winners of each category based on who’s in attendance.

Need to hear your thoughts on the evening… go!
