How great was it to see the fiercer side of Betty come out last night? Motivated by “preppy murderer half brained” Chuck – Veronica’s words not mine – for embellishing an innocent make out sesh between him and V, Betty seeks revenge for not only Veronica, but her sister Polly as well. GIRL POWER.
While Instagram wasn’t exactly around decades ago for the Archie Comic series to cover, slut shaming and online bullying are currently major issues, so I’m glad Riverdale addressed this in episode 3.
Betty really stepped it up style-wise. That red lip was fire – like Barb’s (#JusticeForEthel) hair. Polly’s red lipstick makes Betty feel powerful, but her mom feels Polly grew up too fast and would rather her stick to a pink shade.
I’m not going to go too in-depth plot-wise, but I just want to get my prediction down in writing; Archie’s dad and Miss Grundy will get it on at some point this season.
