The CW premiered it’s highly anticipated neo-noir series last night. Riverdale, based off the Archie comics, is the pick-me-up us Pretty Little Liars fans needed. Reminder: The final season airs this April. Sigh.
Riverdale is basically Twin Peaks (I’m currently binging) meets Gossip Girl meets PLL. Think dark, sexy, twisted and mysterious, but with a vintage-type feel in a contemporary setting. I’m pretty sure Veronica wasn’t ordering ubers 75 years ago. The nostalgic revival has Betty popping Adderall and Archie in an illicit affair – with his music teacher.
Scrunchies aside, I (as always) watched mainly for the fashion, and since this series is bound to give us plenty of outfit inspo, I’ll be featuring my favorite looks and where to shop them each episode.
P.S. How good did those onion rings at Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe sound?!
