I was thrilled yesterday because not once did an unknown number ring my cell. Apparently there was some type of AT&T outage that wasn’t allowing users to make calls… which leads me to HOW would the Black Hood get a hold of Betty if this were actually happening in Riverdale?!
Despite Betty putting a hit out on Nick last week, he’s still alive. Once Cheryl’s denial of his wrongdoings passes, her and Veronica seek justice. Reminder: Nick tried to roofie V the night prior. What a Weinstein.
Tony isn’t interested in being Jughead’s rebound – especially because she likes girls. V and Betty make up and join forces to find The Sugar Man aka the Jingle Jangle (which is now being referred to as “JJ”) supplier’s true identity – as requested by the Black Hood.
Back at South Side High, Jughead receives a text from Archie to scram because Josie’s mom, the Mayor, is raiding the school in search of the “JJ” (which look like pixie sticks). Can we discuss the fact that Jughead legit EXCUSED himself from HIS TEACHER (who turns out to be the dealer of the straws of death!) because he got a text message?! In what world is that okay? Can you imagine doing something like that when we were in high school?! And to think; I got a detention because I was late to the bus on our school field trip to the mall because I was purchasing earrings. True story.
This episode was very #GreaseLightning. A street race happened, but I️ fell deep down the Instagram rabbit hole and don’t know what it’s purpose served. Cheryl saves the day by doing what she does best – blackmailing her mother into telling her the Sugar Man’s name. Betty turns the English teacher over to the proper authorities, then threatens the Black Hood, and gets back with her Juggy. I hate that nickname btw.
