It’s week 7 (or is it 8?) in quarantine and I’ve successfully binged through the entire series of Seinfeld.  For whatever reason, I never watched the show while it was airing back in the day, but it is easily one of those shows that instantly makes you laugh no matter what the episode, which is why I found myself binging it on Hulu during this pandemic.

I truly do not understand how a short, whiny, neurotic bald man like George could get so many beautiful women, why a woman like Elaine – with a “big wall of hair” and a “face like a frying pan” – needed SO MANY sponges (side note: legit had to google what ‘the sponge’ was), or how Jerry – easily the most uninteresting character ever – was somehow the glue that held all these terrible people together.  Regardless, the show is and will always be overall fantastic.

Fan favorite, Kramer, due to his unpredictability and disregard for the law, was legit an unintentional pioneer for sustainable fashion today.

His looks were mostly straight out of the 70s, but like Meghan Markle, Kramer was a BIG fan of re-wearing garments.  Never a follower of trends (respect!), Kramer’s infamous button-ups were recycled and re-purposed countless times throughout the series.

While certainly not the goal – as I previously mentioned, these characters were all horrible people – for the sake of this post, we’ll say Kramer’s sustainable fashion choices were all in the name of ethics.

What have you been binging lately?

My favorite channel to fall asleep to on the weekends as of late has been The Hallmark Channel.  Not only do the movies stream throughout the night, but they ALWAYS end on a high note, and I’ve yet to see a scary commercial air.  The witching hour is a real thing, you guys!

A few weeks ago, I couldn’t fall asleep and got sucked in to watching Rome in Love.  The plot was simple enough.. A remake of “Roman Holiday” is being filmed in Rome and an unknown woman is chosen to play the lead. Once in Rome, she meets a reporter/aspiring novelist, who gets the exclusive story on her.  They fall in love and the rest is history.  Typical for The Hallmark Channel.

Rome in Love was so sweet that it inspired me to watch the original since I’d never seen.  Before you judge, make note that I typically watch movies/shows for the outfit inspiration and Roman Holiday (due to budgeting) was filmed in black and white, which does the costumes no justice and reason for my hesitation.  

I really appreciated the moment she accidentally slips off her heels while on princess duty — not because I’m a princess and can relate (that would be another Meghan with an ‘h’) but because that 4:59pm feeling – knowing it’s almost time to change into your commuter flip-flops – is beyond orgasmic.  Am I right or #amirite?!  

I found the scene where Aubrey Hepburn’s character rebels by chopping off her hair to be absolutely horrifying.  I legit have nightmares about this kind of thing happening to me, yet Princess Ann chose to do it.

Does anyone else get Tyler C. vibes from Mr. Bradley?
