If you follow me on Instagram, you know I was in NorCal last week for a mini-break. Luckily, I was able to get a day of shopping in before the flooding and mudslides hit.
On the California-Nevada border, Truckee is one of the majestic mountain towns overlooking Lake Tahoe. Seeing Lake Tahoe for the first time is such a magical experience. The water is so insanely blue, it feels as though you’re in this beautiful snow globe of a dream you never want to leave. Exceptional views aside, I was extremely excited to explore and see what the little shops, boutiques, and art galleries in downtown Truckee had to offer.
Side Note: I got THE best coconut chai latte while there!
In true fashion, I wore the wrong shoes so strolling the snow-covered (and slightly icy) streets of Truckee in my Altuzarra booties was risky business, but well worth a slip or two. We stumbled upon the Nomad Boutique which had the sweetest selection of clothing perfectly suited for the alpine scenery outside. This burnt orange lace dress had me at first glance.

I unfortunately, had to wait to wear this until I got home due to the torrential rain that hit later that evening, but am so glad I got to take this puppy home with me.
