February 1st marks the start of the Year of the Tiger.
As a proud Scorpio Tiger, I can personally attest that Tigers are a sign of passion, ambition and are fiercely loyal. Also known for their bravery, wisdom and strength, the tiger — in Asian cultures — is the king of the jungle and people born during a Tiger Year are thought to be natural leaders.
In the past century, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986 (me!), 1998 and 2010 were all Tiger years.
So how does one incorporate these magnificent big cats into fashion? One word, easily. Tiger stripes are a recurring motif on and off the catwalk.
