Pop culture brings us two kinds of opening ceremonies this week: one in Russia and one in NYC. Which would you rather?
Over the weekend, the Olympics held the Opening Ceremony in Sochi. Aside from the rings glitch, I found the show to be quite entertaining (dancing extras included). Those ceremonies can drag on longer than the CMAs sometimes. Anyone else have to pick their jaw off the floor when realizing Putin’s girlfriend was a torchbearer? Scandalous.
Meanwhile, back in NYC, Opening Ceremony debuted their Fall/Winter 2014 collection at MBFW. With scientifically engineered chocolate dripping in sync with the music, the fashion show was quite the sensory experience. A wall leaking 4,000 lbs of chocolate? Now that’s the sweet life.
